Though Thanksgiving Day is still a few weeks away, Candler's Office of Development and Alumni Relations lifts up gratitude year-round for the members of the Candler Alumni Board (CAB). The board's mission is to work collaboratively with Candler’s administration, faculty, staff, students, and alumni to assist strategic efforts of the school in the areas of development, recruitment, lifelong learning, student programming, and leadership formation; to prayerfully and financially support Candler’s mission to educate faithful and creative leaders for the church’s ministries in the world, and to provide a representative alumni body that will advise the Candler Alumni Association.

In September, CAB welcomed seven new members at its fall meeting:

  • The Rev. Lemora Banes Dobbs 98T, Senior Pastor, Mt. Zion AME Church, Atlanta, Georgia
  • The Rev. Will Dyer 08T, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia
  • The Rev. Emily Edwards 15T, Minister of Congregational Life, First United Methodist Church of Orlando, Florida
  • The Rev. Millie Kim 93C 97T, Senior Pastor, Second Avenue UMC, Rome, Georgia
  • Mrs. Megan Warner McCamey 01T, Senior Vice President of Social Enterprise & Sustainability, GreenPrint, LLC, Atlanta, Georgia
  • The Rev. Richard Weinberg 17T, Parish Missioner and Formation Associate, St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C.
