The St. Clare Community is dedicated to queer affirmation and spiritual growth. We are committed to cultivating a brave space for the exploration of identity and purpose. Along this journey, we hope to address guiding questions such as: Who am I? What can I do? Who am I becoming? St. Clare is here to make good trouble with an attitude of holy chaos. 

Logistics

The St. Clare Community is in two 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom dormitory style apartments directly across the hall from each other. There can be up to 4 members in the St. Clare Community with two members in each apartment. These apartments are located in a residential community about 5 miles from Candler.  Applicants should be aware that while there is public transportation within walking distance (10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and 20 minute walk to the nearest Emory shuttle stop), we advise that you have personal transportation and a parking pass.  Some residents choose to carpool or split costs for ride shares, but this varies from community to community. Drive time without traffic is about 20 minutes.

The total rent for each apartment is $1,500 monthly (including utilities). Per room rent is $750.

Rental rates are not set by Candler and therefore all rental amounts are subject to change based on the decision of the property owner. Per room rates are subject to change based on the number of students in the house and the relative size of individual rooms.
