Candler’s Youth Theological Initiative (YTI) provides opportunities for youth to explore theology and its real-world implications in a space that welcomes students from all different walks of life—and welcomes their questions and their voices as part of the process. It is a center for research and teaching dedicated to the theological education of youth, empowering teens to be equal partners in transformative theological work, effect social change, and foster inclusive community and lifelong friendships.
YTI offers a variety of programs for high school students, including workshops, travel seminars, online programs, and a residential summer academy with Candler students as mentors.
Learn more about each opportunity below or on the YTI website.
Many Candler students find working with YTI to be a formative part of their seminary experience. There are several ways to get involved. Learn more below or connect with YTI.
