Neighboring Formation Communities
What are neighboring formation communities?
Members in neighboring communities do not live together and form around a set of community commitments with a shared focus. These communities meet once a week for fellowship focused on community building and spiritual formation. Applicants are selected based on meeting the criteria for the program, their stated desires and the community’s focus. All students are welcome in every formation community regardless of race, gender, nationality, class, faith, sexual orientation and ability.

Emory Neighbors is a community focused on the formation of our members as faith leaders and the holistic development of our participants. We understand the importance of a wide variety of skills beyond the practical components of ministry, such as our ability to engage with one another and with God spiritually and our ability to let go and have fun. We are committed to laughing and having fun with each other to guard against the burnout which is all too common in today’s world.
Logistics
All members of this community establish their own housing and live within the Atlanta area. Emory Neighbors gathers for weekly fellowship at a location agreed upon by the members. There are up to 4 members in the Emory Neighbors Community.

Curating authentic fellowship that is open, caring, and curious for the mutual benefit of the members. Establishing relationships through an intentionality and willingness that honors our neighbors with presence. Sharing the love of our God by our actions.
Logistics
The Ridge Community gathers for weekly fellowship at a location agreed upon by the members. Members of this community live at The Ridge Graduate Housing on Emory’s campus. There are up to 4 members in The Ridge Community.

Named after Noah, a biblical figure who led his family through a season of divine preparation and transition, this community provides a space for parents to share their experiences, engage in spiritual formation, and support one another in cultivating faith-filled families. The Noah Community offers practical discussions on faith and parenting, opportunities for collective prayer, and family-friendly gatherings to ensure that both parents and children experience spiritual growth together.
