April 9, 2021

Associate Dean of Worship and Music and Associate Professor in the Practice of Worship Khalia J. Williams, who also serves as co-director Candler’s Baptist Studies program, has published her first book.

Williams co-authored A Worship Workbook: A Practical Guide for Extraordinary Liturgy (Abingdon Press) with Candler alumnus Gerald C. Liu  04T, assistant professor of worship and preaching at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Together, Williams and Liu introduce crucial and under-examined liturgical and social concepts for students and leaders who want to offer truthful, hopeful, creative, and inclusive worship that reflects and responds to the realities of their communities. Each chapter offers a brief lesson, teaching new skills and inspiring creativity for honest, faithful, and versatile worship leadership.
