    Dr. M. Patrick Graham came to Candler in 1988 and served as director of Pitts Theology Library, one of the premier theological libraries in North America, until his retirement in 2017. His research interests include the interpretation of 1 and 2 Chronicles and the use of the printed image to illustrate the Bible. Graham is the author of one book, co-editor of nine others, and has written more than 40 articles and numerous book reviews.

    He has served as a consultant for other theological libraries, taught courses in Old Testament for Harding School of Theology and Spring Hill College, and has been an instructor in the Bible class program for the First Presbyterian Church and Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. He is past president of the Board of Directors of the American Theological Library Association and has chaired accreditation committees of both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Theological Schools.

    Graham is an ordained minister in the Churches of Christ and has served as a trustee of the Northlake Church of Christ.
