In this Pitts Theology Library workshop, you’ll learn how to read books and articles the way a seminary professor does. We will talk about how to look for important ideas, connect them to other things you’ve read, and ask smart questions while you read. You’ll practice slowing down to notice details, thinking about the author’s purpose, and spotting hidden themes or messages. By the end, you’ll have simple tips and tricks to understand any text more deeply and get more out of your reading—whether for school, research, or fun.
