Candler Foundry Certificate Courses Return in September

July 9, 2025

Candler’s public theological education initiative, The Candler Foundry, will launch new fall cohorts of its online certificate program “Foundations in Faith & Leadership” beginning September 1. Designed for lay leaders, clergy, educators, and community organizers, the program offers flexible, self-paced training in different tracks of ministry and leadership development—all in an online format.

Each course is designed to be completed in 12 to 16 weeks and includes lectures from Candler faculty and other expert practitioners, curated readings, weekly reflection sessions, and support from trained facilitators. Participants can choose from five tracks, spanning peacebuilding and conflict transformation, biblical interpretation, youth ministry, trauma-informed care and ministry, and social justice and community engagement. The fee for each course is $349.
