Atlanta nonprofit City of Refuge dedicated its inaugural Welcome Home House on August 27. The house is named The Bishop Home, in honor of Susan Bishop 75T and her 42 years of service to incarcerated women. Bishop serves as chaplain at Lee Arrendale State Prison.

Tracy L. MacKenzie 90T has been appointed lead pastor at St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her appointment will be on an interim basis through June of 2024. Read more.

An art installation by Ashon T. Crawley 07T is currently on display in the National Mall until September 18. Titled “Homegoing,” the installation “uses music, sound and visual elements to create a safe space for mourning Black queer musicians who lost their lives to AIDS.” Read more.

Quincy Rineheart 11T has been named executive assistant to the president & assistant director of the Anderson Ecumenical Institute at Payne Theological Seminary. Read more.
