Candler Centennial Events

Fall Celebration, Oct 23-24, 2014

The Fall event was a time when faculty and faculty emeriti, students, and alumni, as well as faithful supporters of the school, could celebrate the history of the institution. The emphasis was on memory and narration.

Oct. 23: Memories of Candler in Word and Music in Cannon Chapel told the Candler story through live presentations and performances by Candler faculty, staff, students, alumni; and video segments that highlighted milestone moments and contributions from Candler's history.

Oct. 24: The Centennial Convocation in Glenn Memorial Church was a large public event designed to highlight Candler's historic significance within and to the larger Atlanta community. Centennial medals were awarded to selected Emory and Atlanta dignitaries. Watch the Centennial Convocation.
