Student Life at Candler

Student Life at Candler

As a member of the Candler community, take advantage of all the opportunities and programs developed to help you achieve academically, grow spiritually, worship regularly and engage in community with your fellow students.

The Office of Student Life plans and coordinates the school’s student life and spiritual formation programs and events. The office advises Candler’s chartered student organizations that comprise the Candler Coordinating Council (C3), as well as other student interest groups and student publications. New student orientation programs, academic support, international student support, international study, and referrals for personal and vocational counseling are also functions of this office.

Student staff in the Office of Student Life, overseen by Allison Henderson-Brooks, Associate Dean of Students and Quentin Samuels, Assistant Director of Student Life, help plan events, programs, forums, enrichment opportunities, and other aspects of student and community life.

The Life at Candler News Hub, an online space for community life published by the Office of Student Life, informs the Candler community of news, promotes upcoming events and opportunities, and provides resources to enrich life at Candler.

"I knew I was being led into ministry and I wanted to attend a program that equipped me to be not just a minister, but a scholar as well. Unlike other top seminaries, Candler still has strong ties to the university and there are a wealth of resources available that we as students can take advantage of."
