Career Services

An Environment Built on Professional Development

Our goal is that every Candler student and graduate be prepared to answer their vocational calling, whatever that may be.

Our students become pastors, social advocates, leaders, policy makers, chaplains, and much more. With the breadth of opportunity available, one of the most exciting things about getting a Candler degree can be determining what to do with it! Our goal with professional development is to equip students to discern their calls, advocate for themselves as professionals, and purposefully direct their careers after Candler. This professional preparation goes far beyond a strong resume and cover letter, and we are here to partner with students and to support them on their unique vocational journeys, as they learn and grow at Candler and beyond.

In addition to postings, programming, and resources, one amazing resource available to our current students is our director of career services! Students can have a 1-on-1 meeting each semester and can find her at office hours every week in the Office of Student Life.

Resume and cover letter review are available to students throughout the school year! Students can submit their resumes, cover letters, and other application documents to be reviewed by our academic writing tutors who are trained to help tailor and polish these documents so that our students can be successful in their job searches.
