The sixth annual Emory Day of Giving is coming up on March 22-23! This 36-hour online giving event rallies the Emory community far and wide to join together in supporting the school and empowers individuals to give to the specific parts of Emory that inspire them—like Candler.

Emory Day of Giving kicks off at 6:00 a.m. (EDT) Wednesday, March 22, and continues through 6:00 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, March 23. Anyone can participate, and the aim is to engage students, alumni, parents, and friends all over the world in support of Emory.

Making a gift to Candler on Day of Giving means you are supporting the next generation of Christian leaders called to transform the world. Whatever their path—from church service to nonprofit work to advocacy—your gift helps make their ministry possible.

On Day of Giving, you can direct your gift to any of these funds to benefit Candler:

Theology School Fund for Excellence: Support Candler’s whole mission to educate faithful and creative leaders for the church’s ministries throughout the world.

Master of Divinity Scholarship Fund: Help provide scholarship support to students, so Candler graduates can follow God’s call wherever it leads, without the worry of paying off school loans.

Erskine-Smith-Moseley Scholarship Endowment: Provide students of Candler’s Black Church Studies Program with valuable scholarships and stipends to support their theological education. This year, give in honor of Professor of Theology and Ethics Noel L. Erskine, who retires this spring after 46 years on the Candler faculty.

Youth Theological Initiative (YTI) Program: Support programs that equip high school students with theological tools that empower them to change the world.

J. Michael Morgan English Bible & Psalmody Collection: Help Candler grow and promote access to the newest of its rare book collections. The Morgan Collection is one of North America’s premier collections of historic English Bibles, psalm books, and prayer books. Your donation will support programming, digitization, exhibitions, and research in the collection.

Student Emergency Fund: Assist students experiencing financial hardship, such as unexpected housing and food insecurity.

Special gift matches and challenges will occur throughout Day of Giving, amplifying individual gifts. Alumni in particular are encouraged to give during the Wonderful Wednesday Alumni Happy Hour Challenge on March 22 from 5:30–9:30 p.m. EDT to help Candler earn additional dollars.
