Marshall has developed a massive open online course (MOOC) on conflict transformation through Coursera, a MOOC platform that partners with top universities, including Emory. Marshall's class is part of Coursera's Education for Social Impact Campaign, which aims to connect learners with high-quality, socially conscious content that equips them with the skills they need to be drivers of social change.

"Like my Candler courses, this one teaches students to see conflict as a potential catalyst for constructive change and not only as a problem to solve," Marshall says. "It also introduces tools for analyzing conflict that are helpful in everyday life. Each module includes prompts for students to contextualize the material in their own settings."

Participants can set their own pace through Marshall's five-module course, covering topics such as "Conflict As an Opportunity?" and "Know Thyself: How Do You Respond to Conflict and Why Do You Respond That Way?" Each module contains two hours' worth of content, including video lectures, interviews and demonstrations, discussion forums, interactive and personalized assignments, practice quizzes, and other educational resources. Those who wish to secure a certificate of course completion from Coursera can do so for a fee of $49.00.
