John HayesFriends, colleagues, and former students of Dr. John Haralson Hayes will gather to celebrate his life at a memorial service on Thursday, September 5 at 4:00 p.m. in Cannon Chapel. The emeritus professor of Old Testament died July 11 at the age of 79.

Current Candler faculty members Pat Graham, Joel LeMon, and Carol Newsom, Professor Emeritus Max Miller, and graduate division of religion alumnus John Cook will speak.

A reception will be held in Brooks Commons following the service.
