Henry-Crowe appointed leader of the General Board of Church and Society of The United Methodist Church

Rev. Dr. Susan Henry-Crowe 76T and Emory University's dean of the chapel and religious life, has been named chief executive of the General Board of Church & Society (GBCS) of The United Methodist Church.

Henry-Crowe has served as adjunct faculty at Candler and was recognized in 1995 with Candler’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

“We will miss Susan very much but wish her well in this new and exciting challenge,” says Candler Dean Jan Love.

The appointment will be effective in February 2014.
