Candler Career Resources Aim to Ease the Job Search
The Candler Career Services page offers a variety of features aimed at connecting current students and alumni with potential employers. Pages are broken down into student- and alumni-specific resources. The site also includes an easy-to-use employment listing, as well as a place for employers to post jobs. More than 20 jobs are posted now, ranging from part-time positions on campus to full-time pastoral work.
“We’re really hoping that our new career services site has something for everyone,” says Megan Lineberry, Candler’s director of alumni relations. “If you’ve just graduated or you’re a student looking for an internship, our employment opportunities listing can help. If you’re an alum looking to hire someone, who better to consider than a fellow Candler graduate? You can also sign up to be a resource for Candler students or other alumni and offer your gift of mentoring to others.”
Strengthening Candler’s mentoring network is one of the site’s most significant goals. It’s no secret that “who you know” can often be the first step in landing a new job—a large network can pave the way to a successful job search.
Delving further into the site, additional links offer pathways to larger job boards as well as other career-oriented helpful hints, such as those offered by the Emory Career Center.
Alumni who would like more information about how become a career contact are encouraged to contact Lineberry or surf through the Career Services site themselves.
