Cannon ChapelEach year, Candler invites a distinguished group of prospective Master of Divinity students from across the country and around the world to participate in Leadership Candler. The event is designed to support vocational discernment and to showcase the ways Candler’s rich curriculum, acclaimed Contextual Education program, world renowned faculty, superb facilities, and location at top 20 nationally ranked Emory University support preparation for ministry.

To be eligible for this three-day program, prospective students must complete the Master of Divinity application and the Leadership Candler supplement by January 15, 2013.

The three-day program includes conversations with Candler’s distinguished faculty, participation in worship, visits to classes, and tours of Pitts Theology Library and the Emory campus. Participants also interact with Dean Jan Love, current students, and others in the Candler community; take part in discussions about Candler’s curriculum, student life, and spiritual formation; and interview with a scholarship committee.

Leadership Candler candidates must demonstrate confident and unselfish character combined with deep concern for others; intellectual achievement; impressive communication skills; significant leadership and creativity in school, church, or community; and a clear potential for enriching the lives of their seminary peers as well as their faith communities.
