Light Rain Will Not Affect Commencement Schedule
Light rain will not affect commencement activities for Emory University or Candler School of Theology. Candler graduating seniors will line up at 7:15 a.m. with students from all of Emory’s graduate and undergraduate programs for the 167th commencement exercises at Emory University. Emory’s president, James W. Wagner, will preside and confer degrees at the ceremony on the quadrangle, which begins at 8 a.m.
Following the all-school event, Candler students will proceed directly to Glenn Memorial Auditorium, where Dean Jan Love will present diplomas in a ceremony that begins at 9:45 a.m. This year, Candler will grant more than 100 degrees.
Candler graduates and their families and friends are then invited to a commencement lunch. The location will be announced at Candler’s Diploma Ceremony.
