D.W. and Ruth Brooks Professor of World Christianity Jehu J. Hanciles has edited a new volume recently published by Orbis Press. World Christianity: History, Methodologies, Horizons provides a critical reassessment of the study of world Christianity that connects historical developments to current debates and new trajectories.
The anthology is the product of a fall 2019 world Christianity consultation sponsored by Candler and Emory University that drew 25 world Christianity scholars from the U.S. and around the world.
Consultant participants also served as contributors to the book, including Dean’s Professor of Systematic Theology Kwok Pui Lan, as well as scholars from Australian Catholic University, New York Theological Seminary, The University of Notre Dame, and more. All offer detailed treatments of a wide range of issues that present increasing challenges to world Christianity, one of the fastest growing fields of study in the theological academy today.
