La Posada: An Advent Journey

Join Candler’s Catholic Studies department, La Mesa Academy for Theological Studies, and the Candler Latin American Community (CLAC) for the Candler Posada, a traditional Advent celebration revolving around the concept of hospitality practiced in many Spanish-speaking countries.

The Posadas symbolize Mary and Joseph’s long, frustrating search for a place to stay where Jesus could be born. We learn from the Posadas that by welcoming the poor and the needy we are welcoming Jesus in our midst.
