Three recent books by members of the Candler community have been recognized as part of The Christian Century’s Fall 2021 Books issue.
- D.W. and Ruth Brooks Professor of World Christianity Jehu J. Hanciles’ latest book Migration and the Making of Global Christianity (Eerdmans) was included as a new book shaping discussions in global Christianity.
- Shoutin’ in the Fire: An American Epistle (Convergent Books) by Candler student Danté Stewart is reviewed as “prophetic, masterful, and Spirit-filled… a true gift to the church.”
- Alumna Ashley Wilcox 16T’s The Women’s Lectionary: Preaching the Women of the Bible throughout the Year was listed as the number two bestseller for publisher Westminster John Knox Press.
