Candler is committed to making theological education affordable, and the numbers show it. In 2017-18, Candler awarded $5.3 million in scholarships, with 88% of all students and 96% of Master of Divinity students receiving support. Plus, now there's a new tool to make the quest for scholarships easier: Candler's Scholarship Finder, a searchable database of more than 300 internal and external scholarships available to Candler students.
 
The Scholarship Finder allows you to search by a variety of different criteria for both internal and external scholarships, so you can find opportunities that connect with your story. Do a Candler-specific search for scholarships we offer by amount or degree program, or explore external opportunities by searching for type of aid (loan or scholarship), amount, deadline, degree program, denomination, or United Methodist Annual Conference.    
 
Prospective students will automatically be considered for Candler scholarships when they submit their application for admission—there's no additional scholarship application to fill out. Applications should be completed and submitted by the degree program's priority deadline to receive optimal consideration.
