Joel Green, professor of New Testament Interpretation at Fuller Theological Seminary, will discuss new perspectives on the Gospel of Luke in his lecture “Are You Converted? Reframing Assumptions, Re-Reading Luke,” as part of the Dean’s Lecture Series, next Wednesday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. in room 252 of Candler’s Rita Anne Rollins Building.
The author and editor of more than 35 books on the New Testament and biblical interpretation, Green is noted chiefly for his work on Luke-Acts and for drawing a link between the academic study of theology and the larger church and world. His forthcoming book, Why Salvation? explores what Christians mean when they say “Jesus saves,” and how salvation can illumine new categories for conceiving the world.
In addition to his role as a professor of New Testament at Fuller, Green serves as the seminary’s associate dean for the Center for for Advanced Theological Studies.
The lecture is free and open to the public. For more on the event, click here: bit.ly/Qk2aua.
