Each year, Candler’s bishop-in-residence, Woodie White, writes a “birthday letter” to Martin Luther King Jr. about the progress of racial equality in the U.S. To read this year’s letter, please visit the United Methodist Reporter.

As part of Emory University's King Week celebrations, Bishop White will read the letter during Thursday's chapel service in Cannon Chapel.

Joseph McBrayer 09T, campus minister at Emory Wesley Fellowship, recorded Bishop White speaking about the letter and reading it.
