Corrie Accepted to Wabash Colloquy

Beth Corrie, director of the Youth Theological Initiative and assistant professor in the practice of youth education and peacebuilding at Candler, has been accepted as a colloquy member for the Wabash Center’s “Writing the Scholarship of Teaching in Theology and Religion” for the 2010-2011 school year.

The Wabash Center supports teachers of religion and theology in higher education. The program in which Corrie will participate is comprised of a small group of experienced and critically reflective teachers. The group will spend one year writing and engaging in conversation about writing the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Corrie will be working on an article entitled “Teaching the Teachers: Empowering Young Adults to Empower Youth in Religious Education,” with an aim towards publication in 2012. For more information about this program visit:
