The mission of the Hispanic Summer Program is to supplement and enrich the theological and ministerial education being offered in seminaries and universities, with academic courses and other activities directly addressing Hispanic history, ministry, and theology.
The Hispanic Summer Program mainly involves its 13-day summer graduate program in theology & religion. On a Saturday around mid-June, close to one hundred students, eight faculty, and a couple of administrators gather for the HSP. Each student can take only one three-credit course. Thus, the earlier they apply, the easier they will be accepted in the course of their first choice.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Hispanic Summer Program, Dr. Justo Conzález will be the guest speaker at the Anniversary Banquet.
This year’s Hispanic Summer Program will take place from June 7-21, 2013 at the University of Our Lady of the Lake in Mundelein, IL. The cost of attendance is $425, which covers tuition, airfare, lodging, and food. Applications will be accepted until March 3, 2014.
