P. Alice Rogers
The Rev. Dr. P. Alice Rogers plays an integral role in developing and teaching in the Doctor of Ministry program, as well as offering courses on Christian worship and women in religious leadership. When she joined Candler in 2002, Rogers directed Contextual Education II and the Teaching Parish Program, where she was responsible for the oversight and administration of the ecclesial placements for second year Contextual Education students.

Rogers has been named a delegate to The United Methodist General Conference five times, serves on the General Commission on Communications, and is currently the president of the Association of Theological Field Educators. In addition, she is active in several committees at Candler.
Rogers is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and was a pastor for more than 15 years prior to coming to Candler. She currently serves as Senior Pastor of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on Emory’s campus.
