Lahronda Little

The Rev. Dr. Lahronda Welch Little is an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary scholar with expertise in soteriology through the lens of public health and religion. A graduate of Candler School of Theology and Emory University’s Graduate Division of Religion, her research interests include womanist and feminist discourse, Wesleyan theology, Africana religious studies, spirituality, and interreligious and intercultural encounters. She is pastor-in-charge at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Conyers, Georgia. Little previously served as pastor of religious practice and health at Stone Mountain First UMC in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and assistant pastor at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in McDonough, Georgia.

Little is the author of the forthcoming monograph Stitching Fabrics with Fine Threads: Toward a Womanist Holistic Soteriology (Lexington Books, an imprint of Rowman and Littlefield). She has also authored chapters in Making It Through, Together: Ritual Collection for Life-After-Loss (The Dinner Party, 2020), and Postcolonial Images of Spiritual Care, Vol. 2 (Wipf and Stock, 2022).

Little has made numerous academic presentations, including to the Association of Practical Theology, Compassionate Atlanta, the American Academy of Religion, Trinity Theological Seminary in Legon, Ghana, and Morehouse College as a Howard Thurman Lecturer. She has also been the recipient of several grants, including a Forum for Theological Exploration doctoral fellow, and General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) Angella P. Current-Felder Women of Color Scholar.
