Candler School of Theology is pleased to partner with the Shepherd’s Fund. The mission of the Shepherd’s Fund is to serve and bless retired pastors and their spouses who have faithfully served Christ and the church, by providing financial assistance when a medical crisis occurs and creates a hardship. The Fund was founded with the vision to help retired pastors and their spouses (regardless of denominational affiliation) who have health issues which may have an impact on their ability to pay their medical bills or household expenses. Through the Fund, a Candler alum or spouse may qualify for an assistance grant of up to $10,000 each (not to exceed $20,000 total).
