Group Visits at Candler are a chance to hear from remarkable faculty and invited guests—and learn more about our degree programs, spiritual formation, community life, scholarships and opportunities for study and growth—other prospective students.

Black Church Studies Open House & Group Visit: Thursday, October 16, 2014 (10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

You are invited to join the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for a special prospective student visit day that will highlight Candler’s Black Church Studies Program. Attend a worship service sponsored by Black Church Studies, have lunch with students enrolled in the certificate program, and attend "Black Religion and Black Consciousness" with Dr. Nichole Phillips, Assistant Professor of Religion and Human Difference. Table Talk

Learn about Candler in conversation over dinner with Dean Jan Love, Admissions staff, an esteemed member of our faculty and other prospective students at Table Talk. These casual dinners begin with a welcome by Dean Love and feature a faculty speaker.

During the general information session afterwards, you will have the opportunity to meet with current students and ask questions of our Admissions representatives. We'll have activities for children during the informational portion of the evening, so bring the whole family!

Guide My Feet - A Day of Radical Vocational Discovery: Saturday, November 1, 2014 (10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

You are invited to join us at Candler to radically consider the ways God is calling you to serve in the church and the world. At this event, Dr. Beth Corrie, Assistant Professor of Youth Education & Peacebuilding and Director of the Youth Theological Initiative, will present on “The Radicalness of Vocation: Engaging the Powers.” You will also have the opportunity to meet current students and recent alumni to hear about their ongoing vocational discernment. Finally, you will meet Candler staff members and participate in prayer, reflection, and conversation designed to activate the mind and heart  concerning questions of call and vocation.
