Doctor of Theology Scholarships

Anderson Roe Scholarship

Named for Sherman Michael Anderson and Phyllis Roe, this scholarship honors their work in the field of pastoral counseling. This partial-tuition scholarship is available to either a U.S. or international student who is interested in working with native populations. A separate application is not required. Review is based on materials submitted for admission to the ThD program.

Doctor of Theology International Scholarship

One ThD International Scholarship is available every other year to an entering ThD student who is a citizen of a country outside the United States. This award provides full tuition for the two-year course work and practicum portion of the ThD program. A separate application is not required. Review is based on materials submitted for admission to the ThD program.

Gerkin Scholarship

The Charles V. and Mary F. Gerkin Endowment for Graduate Study in Pastoral Theology was established by Charles Gerkin, Franklin N. Parker Professor of Pastoral Theology Emeritus, to provide scholarship support to an international doctoral student in the field of pastoral theology. Preference is given to students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, or the Western Pacific. A separate application is not required. Review is based on materials submitted for admission to the ThD program. The award provides approximately $3,000 each year for the two-year class work and practicum portion of the ThD program.
