Financial Aid

We offer one of the most robust financial aid programs in theological education because we want Candler to be a real possibility for you.

While our financial aid offerings are generous, they are also competitive. We encourage you to apply early—by the priority deadline for your degree—for optimal consideration.

Our process is simple and straightforward: your application to Candler serves as your scholarship application.

The typical financial aid package includes a combination of a Candler Scholarship; grants from outside sources, including churches, annual conferences and community organizations; and federal student loans. Many students also take advantage of part-time employment, either on- or off-campus.

The Candler Office of Admissions and Financial Aid works in conjunction with the Emory University Office of Financial Aid to ensure that students are considered for as many financial aid opportunities as possible.

We are available to speak with you at any time about your specific interests and needs via e-mail: or phone: 404.727.6326.
