Complete Stewards of Children Training

Candler School of Theology requires all students who will work with children, youth, and vulnerable populations through Contextual Education and other ministerial internships to complete Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children sexual abuse prevention training. The training requires approximately two hours to complete, though you may save your progress at any time and log in at a later date to finish remaining modules. Once started, you are granted a total of 15 days to complete the training.

Stewards of Children training must be completed before an incoming student is cleared to register for classes. Students should therefore make every effort to complete the training by July 10th to ensure timely registration. Those who fail to complete the training by August 15 will not be permitted to participate in Contextual Education or other ministerial internships during the following academic year.

More detailed information regarding the Stewards of Children training, as well as a link to begin the process, can be found on your admissions checklist on your Status Page. Once you have completed the training, the Admissions Office staff will automatically be notified of your progress and will update your checklist accordingly. This process may take up to five business days after completion of the training, so please be patient as Admissions staff update your records.
