Register for Classes

New Student Enrollment

Enrollment for new students typically takes place one month before classes begin. The Candler Registrar's Office will send detailed instructions regarding enrollment as well as updated versions of the course schedule directly to your Emory email account. Please check your email often for the most up-to-date information.

To be eligible for registration, all items in your admissions checklist must be completed. These items include a criminal background check, Haven Training (Parts 1 and 2), Stewards of Children Training, and potentially the submission of additional application materials such as a final transcript. Access your admissions checklist on your Status Page to ensure all requirements have been completed.

Additional information about the registration process, as well as course schedules and the academic calendar, can be accessed through the Candler Registrar's Office website.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

If you are transferring from another school accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), you may be eligible to keep some of the credits you have already earned. After admission to a degree program, the Admissions Office will request a Transfer Credit Evaluation from the Candler Registrar. The Transfer Credit Evaluation will be completed and communicated to you before registration for new students begins.

Additional information regarding transfer credits can be found by reading Candler's Academic Policies and Procedures.
