Dual Degrees

For those interested in pursuing an education that encompasses theological studies and another interest, Candler offers nine dual degrees with other schools at Emory University as well as the University of Georgia. Applicants must apply to each degree separately, completing the application requirements of each school.

Bioethics and Theology

A dual Master of Theological Studies and Master of Arts in Bioethics provides students with an opportunity for deep exploration of theological conceptions of health, illness and disease in order to work in bioethics, patient advocacy or pastoral care at a faith-based health care institution or organization, or to pursue advanced studies in bioethics, theology or related fields. A dual Master of Divinity or Master of Theological Studies and Master of Business Administration (MDiv/MBA or MTS/MBA) prepares students typically interested in entering the fields of Church Administration, including Investment Management for church development, private wealth management and/or estate planning.
