Kingswood UMC is an active congregation, with ministry and mission opportunities for all ages. Kingswood has a preschool with more than 180 students, and a Community Life Center, which provides sports and fitness opportunities to hundreds of children, youth and adults year-round.

Weekly Schedule

  • Sunday:
    • Sunday School: 9:45 - 10:45 am
    • Youth Sunday: 4:00 - 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday:
    • Dinner, childen's activities, youth and adult Bible Study, Children, Adult and Bell Choir.
  • Small groups meeting throughout the week and senior events monthly

Kingswood UMC is active with Family Promise, serves meals at a local soup kitchen, and has sent mission teams to Honduras.

Meeting the Five Areas of Ministry

Administration: Students are exposed to every aspect of the church: committee meetings, maintenance of membership rolls, paying bills, and day-to-day administration.

Liturgy (Worship and Preaching): Students will be involved in the planning of a variety of worship services and will be given the opportunity to participate in the leadership of worship. They will assist with the preparation and the serving of Communion. Students will be given a minimum of two opportunities to preach in different services.

Mission and Outreach: Students will have the opportunity to plan, implement, and participate in a variety of mission and outreach events.  Opportunities include serving at soup kitchens, giving out bags of groceries, participating with Family Promise and more.

Pastoral Calling and Congregational Care: Students will be allowed to shadow the Senior Pastor on hospital and home visits, in funeral planning and various other situations.

Religious Education: Students will have many opportunities to plan and lead educational events for all ages.
