Oasis Int’l Worship Center exists to transform lives and change the world through compelling teaching of the Word, commitment to Spirit-filled worship, and convincing witness of God’s love.


OIWC is a 12 year old ministry with approximately 100 members. The congregation is ethnically diverse.

Unique Opportunities for Service

The site offers exposure to various areas of ministry and is ideal for students who are in the process of vocational discernment. The nondenominational/ independent church setting provides insight for those who are interested in church planting or who plan to serve in a similar setting after graduation.

Emory Presbyterian Church engages in outreach through the annual MLK Service Weekend, Decatur Emergengy Assistance Program, Children's Hospital initiatives, support to missionaries in Lesotho, Africa, Advent Conspiracy, alternative Christmas giving programs, Earth Day, ministry of space to many organizations, and Madhousers.

Meeting the Five Areas of Ministry

Administration: The student would be given the opportunity to observe (and participate in) any and all functions of the church as determined by their needs and goals.

Liturgy (Worship and Preaching): Worship preparation, Preaching and liturgical leadership would be made available according to the requirements of the program and the interests of the student.

Mission and Outreach: The various missions in which the church is already involved are listed above. Any are available for student observation/participation.

Pastoral Calling and Congregational Care: The student is welcome to accompany the pastor on pastoral calls as well as make calls on their own if they wish, as his or her time and interests allow.

Teaching: There are many opportunities in children and adult education and our Wed. night program in which the student may exercise his or her leadership.
