Oasis International Worship Center

The Oasis International Worship Center exists to transform lives and change our world with compelling teaching of the Word, commitment to Spirit-filled worship and convincing witness of God’s love.

Oasis International Worship Center is a 12-year-old ministry located in Stone Mountain, with approximately 100 members. The first service was held in 2002 in the pastor's home and later moved to holding services at a hotel in Stone Mountain. In 2004 the church purchased 5.2 acres of land and now oversees a School of Ministry and several outreach programs. The congregation is ethnically diverse.

Unique Opportunities in Ministry

The site offers exposure to various areas of ministry and is ideal for students who are in the process of vocational discernment. The non-denominational church setting provides insight for those who are interested in church planting or who plan to serve in a similar setting after graduation.

Meeting the Five Areas of Ministry

Administration: The student will work closely with the Executive pastor and senior pastor to observe and understudy administrative policies and procedures. The student will attend staff meetings and actively participate in activities.

Liturgy (Worship and Preaching): The student will have a rotation schedule that includes serving on the worship team, planning a worship service, reading scripture during services, and prayer. The student will attend and will have the opportunity to teach Bible study. If desired, the student will prepare and preach a sermon and the mentor will provide feedback.

Mission and Outreach: The student can participate in existing mission and outreach programs. The student may plan a special community event, if desired.

Pastoral Calling and Congregational Care: The student will work with the Pastoral care minister to visit shut-ins and work with the care ministry team. The student will meet regularly with the senior pastor to discuss pastoral calling, self- care, and spiritual development.

Teaching: The student will work with staff in children's, youth, and adult ministries, to prepare and teach in each area. The student will meet with the mentor and Religious Education leader to discuss curriculum selection and development.
