Letitia CampbellLetitia M. Campbell, PhD
Director, Contextual Education I and Clinical Pastoral Education
Chaplaincy Concentration Coordinator
Assistant Professor in the Practice of Ethics and Society

Dr. Campbell coordinates students’ placements in social service or clinical settings during the first year of the Contextual Education Program. She has a background as a journalist and has served in congregational, campus ministry, academic, and non-profit settings. She received her MDiv from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and earned her PhD in Christian Ethics from Emory’s Graduate Division of Religion. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Tom ElliottThomas W. Elliott, Jr., DMin
Director, Contextual Education II
Director, Teaching Parish Program and Internships
Associate Professor in the Practice of Practical Theology and Methodist Studies

Dr. Elliott facilitates students' placements in their second year ecclesial settings for the Contextual Education Program. He is able to build effective partnerships with area churches given his knowledge and experience as an elder in the North Georgia Conference.

Senior Program Coordinator

Carmen oversees all Contextual Education programs (Contextual Education I, Contextual Education II, Teaching Parish, CPE, and Internships) and is the point person for any questions regarding them. Students, faculty and supervisors should reach out to her with any questions or concerns.

Drew NixDrew T. Nix, MDiv
Special Projects Coordinator 

Drew, a 2021 Candler graduate and Teaching Parish alumni, manages special projects for the Contextual Education Office. He is a candidate for ordination in the Western North Carolina Conference of the UMC and also works as Interim Assistant Youth Director at Oak Grove UMC.

Student Worker

Katie, a 2nd year MDiv student, is a student worker in the Contextual Education Office where she assists the staff in operations and communications. A graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Katie is a Certified Candidate in the UMC.  She enjoys the "family atmosphere" on the ConEd office.

Chaplaincy Concentration Program Fellow

Keith, a PhD Candidate in the Emory GDR Department of Religion, serves as the Program Fellow for the Chaplaincy Concentration. Keith brings much experience in CPE, having earned 7 ACPE units. Students who are interested in chaplaincy can find Keith in the Candler Atrium on Tuesdays from 12PM-3PM.
