Candler Alumni
Since its founding in 1914, Candler School of Theology has maintained the legacy of preparing faithful and creative leaders for the church's ministries in the world. Shaped by the Wesleyan traditions of evangelical piety, ecumenical openness, and social concern, Candler's 7,309 living alumni are making significant contributions in their respective areas of service.
Whether graduation was this year or many years ago, Candler alumni remain involved in the school through a wide range of opportunities, including the following:
- Continuing Education
- Ordering Transcripts
If you are an alumni, or a current student and wish to order an official transcript, please visit the Emory University registrar's office.
- Special Events
Candler School of Theology offers a full range of educational, personal, and professional enrichment and worship opportunities, which are open to alumni and the public, on and off campus. Among those opportunities are a variety of programs including reunions, regional alumni receptions, denominational gatherings, the distinguished alumni award lunch, and other special events. Please see Events at Candler for more information. Our alumni also benefit from programs and services offered by the Emory Alumni Association.
- Volunteer Opportunities
Learn about the many leadership opportunities for Candler alumni (as well as students, staff, friends, and faculty) by using the Alumni Volunteer Link (AVL). Just provide some quick information about your interests and availability, and the AVL will line up possible positions tailored just for you. After you sign up for any Candler volunteer opportunity, a member of our staff will contact you to discuss further. Thanks for considering supporting Candler with your time and energy.
- Distinguished Alumni Award
Candler School of Theology annually recognizes an alumnus or alumna whose service to God, the church, and his or her community has been made with distinction. The individual must have demonstrated ongoing and significant service to the School of Theology. Please read more about this award and learn how to nominate a deserving candidate.
