Candler Women

Candler Women, formerly the Women's Caucus, creates a nurturing place for women to be and speak in an atmosphere that values women's experiences and empowers each woman to value her own experience; supports and facilitates the development of leadership skills for women at Candler; affirms non-hierarchical, consensus-based styles of leadership and decision making; and seeks to challenge areas of the curriculum or extracurricular environment to promote liberation and mutuality for all people.

The Candler Women invites women students to participate in this organization that provides both a support group and a context for exploring issues facing women in ministry. Candler Women participates in the Candler Coordinating Council, monitors women's issues, and coordinates Women's Week.

Women's Week offers a rich and diverse opportunity for the entire Candler community to explore concerns of women in ministry and theology through worship, lectures, and dialogue. Women's Week is an annual event.
